made famous by the Netflix documentary, which accused him of conning women, through dating app Tinder
, into giving him great sums of money after he had shown them a part of his high-flying lifestyle.

, according to Instagram stories shown in The Tinder Swindler. Before the documentary premiered, his account was active with nearly 100,000 followers, although it was set to private.
Was Simon Leviev caught?
Leviev was arrested in Greece in 2019 after trying to use a fake passport
. He was extradited back to his home country of Israel and sentenced to 15 months in prison after being convicted on four counts of fraud. He was released in May 2020 after serving only five months.
